St Luke's Chapel
This is the last painting I ever did. It is of the inside of the chapel at St. Luke's College in Exeter where I went to study Primary Teaching and Art. It was unfinished but I eventually decided I liked it better that way and pronounced it finished. Dad says it is symbolic of my not finishing my course at St. Lukes (Ho Ho!). The original chapel had chairs and a piano in there somewhere...these I never intended to put in as it would begin to get complicated and cluttered. Actually I was recently told that since I left St .Lukes the chairs have been removed so I guess the painting was prophetic in a way. Phophetic art...now that's an interesting concept!
